Center City's mobile cat groomer

Hi, I'm Randye

Necessity is the mother of invention, right?

For years, I’ve been searching for this service for LolaBelle, my travel-anxious kitty (and Chief Kitten Officer), so I got trained through the National Cat Groomers Institute and created it myself! I’m also American Red Cross Pet First Aid Certified.

Caticures To Go house-call cat nail trimming is the result.

After a career as a corporate VP, then a professor, consultant and author, I’ve never enjoyed my clients more and finally being able to work with animals (what I’ve wanted to do for most of my life), is such a joy.

When I lived in California and was a VP at a financial services company that developed consumer products, I learned just how much people love their pets. My favorite project was when I worked with Veterinary Pet Insurance Company (VPI), the first health insurer for US pets, to create the most successful product the company had ever launched. (Meetings at their offices were the most fun meetings I ever attended!)

Caticures To Go doing an in-home cat nail trim

Since I moved to Center City and sold my car, getting LolaBelle’s nails trimmed became even more difficult.

Can you relate?

You call a cab (or worse, get on a bus) and hope that the driver was told there would be a cat passenger so that when you get in you don’t get stink eye because the driver starts sneezing (they sent a driver who is allergic to cats!), and is speeding like a demon to end their suffering further stressing you and your cat before you even get to the appointment.

Or you walk and suddenly your 10-pound cat feels like you’re carrying the Tasmanian devil who is yowling and jumping around in the carrier while you’re walking the busy streets of the city and horns are blaring, you’re dodging traffic, random people stop you to say ‘Hi’ to your kitty, ‘Oh, she’s so sweet’ – yeah, sure. You didn’t need a blood transfusion this morning just to get her into the carrier.

Then you get there and you have to wait (sometimes along with barking dogs, phones ringing, and other loud noises) all for a 10 minute or less appointment and then turn around and do the whole thing in reverse to get back home where your cat immediately pukes (always on the rug), then sulks, and hides and you feel guilty and keep saying “Baby, I’m so sorry. I love you but your murder mittens need to be trimmed!”

Well, all of that is a thing of the past because now, you and your kitty can stay home, relaxed, with nail trim appointments on your schedule.
